Halo Xtensions

Halo Xtensions

Hey babes – long time no blog! Life’s been pretty crazy lately. As many of you already know, I lost my best friend about 2 months ago. Through this experience, I’ve learned so much about life, love and what it means to live with intention. That’s why I can’t emphasize enough how important it is to do what makes you happy and take advantage of what gifts God has given you because you never know how much time you have left on this earth.

And one thing that I absolutely love to do is blog! Dawson had always encouraged me to pursue my social career and I’m going to make him proud by posting a new blog each and every Monday! WOO!

So for this weeks blog, beauty is on the brain. Throughout my entire life, I’ve admired girls who have thick, long, healthy hair. My mom has the most beautiful, luscious hair and for some reason, her DNA decided to keep it all for herself and leave me with frail, stringy locks.

When my hair dries naturally, it’s pretty flat, thin, and just bleh – you know what I mean? So, over the years, I began to acquire different tricks to make my hair look thick even though it’s not; but keeping it styled everyday gets exhausting.

So, like most girls, I always contemplated getting extensions. But the problem with most extensions is that they’re either clipped or glued into the roots of your hair. Having the extensions permanently in place like this works well until you have to take them out and most of your natural hair gets ripped out with them.

I would always go back and forth trying to decide if they were worth it until I found Halo Xtensions. Basically, Halo extensions are 12-20 inches of pure goodness that make you look like a mermaid and don’t do any damage to your natural hair.

All the extension is is a weft of Remy hair (100% human hair) that’s connected to an extremely thin string. You place the string on the top of your head like a halo and use the tail of a comb to gently pull your natural hair over the weft. Your hair will  begin cover the extension and even hold it in place – then you’re done! It literally takes less than 30 seconds to have a complete hair-makeover.

I’m not going to lie I was a little skeptical at first, wondering how in the world this tiny string would stay put on top of my head. I could just picture myself dancing around with friends and all of a sudden a chunk of hair the size of a small animal falls off of my head and onto the dance floor. Talk about a party foul. So, when I first tried on the halo, I swung my head around in ways that I would probably never do out in the real world (just to be safe) and it didn’t move an inch! I was SOLD.

And once you have your hair in place, you style it exactly how you normally would – with heat, spray, whatever. I even tried my normal go-to-styles to see how they would look and WALLAH:

  1. Soft curls
  2. Classic side braid
  3. Pin back the front pieces
  4. Pony tail

    Hi Maddie
I’ve written to you before about Dawson. TO read how beautifully gracious you are handling your life since Dawson went to live with Jesus, You are an inspiration to Me and I’m sure to many… I find your strength amazing….
Now regarding the Halo Hair extensions..,, I have a medical condition called Lupus. And I have very long hair… however over the past 3 years my hair has been thinning out a lot! Super scary for me. So I purchased 2 different brands of human hair extensions.., and since they have the ” clips ” my own hair keeps thinning out more and my own hair doesn’t seem strong enough to hold them anymore… I purchased them mainly for a Wedding last year…
I now wish I would have waited until now to see your Halo Xtensions…
Yours look beautiful!!! So now I’m going to buy a set, but I have natural brown hair but have blonde weaved into it.. The clip in Extensions I purchased before, my hair stylist was able to streak them and they match my own hair perfectly!
And with Halo Xtensions being real hair… I am guessing they can be colored, would you know if I purchased the blonde color… Are they able to handle a few brown dye streaks ( weaved ?) ? I think these could be a really big helpful addition for me… since I lose hair everyday..,
Thank you for this subject! Oh and would you mind letting people like myself who have issues finding cute clothes like you wear ( I’m a petite lady like yourself)…
I love the ” off-shoulder ” tops and dresses for the summer. Could you please blog about where to find these beautiful summertime fashion beauties??? I appreciate it thank you!
