Happy Friday, friends! I have some GREAT NEWS. In my last blog, I was complaining about how it was 95° in the middle of October here in SoCal and this week, it’s FINALLY dropping a tiny bit below 70°!!!
I’m not sure you guys understand how excited I am because cold(ish) weather means that it’s finally time to break out all of the fall outfits I’ve been hiding in my closet while impatiently waiting for some cloud coverage and rain. And now it’s finally here!!
When it comes to fall, we all have our favorite staples – leggings, boots, big sweaters, scarves and beanies – just to name a few. But something I’ve come to love over the past month or so are skirts.
Now, if you’re on the east coast or somewhere where it’s below freezing right now, you might want to hold off on this outfit for a couple months. But if you live somewhere with a ‘fake fall’ like me, you’re in for a treat.
So, skirts. There are so many options with these bad boys. You got your denim skirts, your corduroy skirts, your tight skirts, your loose skirts, your long ones, your short ones, AND you even have LEATHER skirts. Praise the Lord for blessing us with this trend – am I right?
Now, you might be thinking, “Okay we’re in California but still – it might be a little too cold for a skirt.” But I’m here to tell you you’re wrong. Why? Because throw on a giant, warm chunky sweater with your favorite skirt and you are ready to go my friends.
You can make this outfit as casual or as fancy as you want. Pair it with some old-school vans, heels, booties, and if you’re still worried about being too cold, slide on some knee-high boots (like we talked about in my last blog) and you’re set.
Now, this entire ensemble that I have on here is from a little online boutique called The Native One. This store was sent from heaven above I am 100% convinced.
Not only do they have the CUTEST, TRENDIEST tops, dresses, jumpers, bottoms AND accessories, but they are SO AFFORDABLE. No need to pinch yourself, you’re not dreaming – this is real and it’s amazing.
I binged and bought about 4 sweaters from them the other week but it’s okay because they were all under $50! And for high-quality, soft, trendy sweaters, that’s a STEAL.
So, not only do you have your new go-to fall outfit, but you also have your new favorite online store. Don’t worry guys, you can thank me later 😉
