If you follow me on Instagram then you know, our beloved nephew, Hudson, turned ONE this past week (I’m not crying, you’re crying). This year was the fastest, happiest year of my life and I’m so grateful I got to share it with all of you!
As you probably could have guessed, my sister and family went all out for his party because, well, we’re just obsessed with him. She decided to go with the ‘one rocks’ theme because it was fun for both the kids and the parents. We got to rock out to some classic rock hits while wearing our favorite band tees, and the kids got to have a blast jumping in the bounce house and eating tons of sugar (yay).
If you love the theme as much as we did, you’re in luck. I went ahead and linked everything we used down below! Just simply click the link and you will be redirected to the site where you can shop. Easy as that!
THE BOUNCE HOUSE
The bounce house was done by a local company called Events by Estef. They provided the house (this is the mini size), the balloon arch and the ‘one rocks’ sticker for around $300. They service Rancho Cucamonga, California and surrounding areas! If you’re not local to Southern California, there are tons of companies that provide similar services all over! Simply google ‘white bounce house rental near me’ and see what you can find.
We filled it with some blow up guitars, microphones and checkered balloons so the kids could have some props for their fun!
THE BACKDROP
So my dad helped us out by making our own wooden arches with some wood from Home Depot, a saw, some paint, and a whole lotta love. However, if DIY isn’t really your thing, don’t panic. Etsy sells pre-made arches so you can get the look without all the work! The ‘one rocks’ birthday banner is also sold on Etsy!
THE SHIRTS
Etsy for the win, once again! These shirts are custom made, so cute, and beyond perfect for the theme. The front says ‘birthday boy’ and the back says ‘Hudsons first trip around the sun tour’ with his birthday, January 4th, 2022. His mom and dad had matching ones with the same writing on the back, but say ‘mommy’ and ‘daddy’ on the front. They run true to size!
He also sported a custom denim vest for this cake smash moment. Both the denim vest and the rock & roll patches are from Amazon and super easy to put together! You just iron them on and you’re good to go!
FOOD SIGNS
The signs were all made using blank templates and a cricket machine! The cricket was surprisingly super easy to use – all you need is the machine itself, some vinyl paper and a computer. I’ll link the clear table signs here!
Each food item was matched with lyrics from classic rock song! We also had pizza with a sign that said ‘another one bites the crust,’ but, we devoured it so fast I forgot to get a picture.
I’ll also link the checkered napkins, plates and cups that fit in perfectly with the theme!
GAME SIGNS
Just like the food signs, all the game signs were made using blank templates and a cricket machine. I’ll link the blank lawn signs with sticks here.
For the games, we had ladder ball and corn hole which were both a hit!
THE TABLE DECOR
Amazon coming in clutch. The vinyl records we used as table centerpieces come in a 10 pack on Amazon and the stickers come in a pack of 150! Simply cover the tables with some tablecloths, then divide them up and you’re good to go!
TATTOO CORNER
It’s not a party without some tattoos, right? These custom ones with Hudsons face were my personal favorite!
I hope this helps with your party planning ideas! If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments or shoot me a DM on Instagram (@maddieperry) and I’ll get back to you ASAP!
THANKS FOR READING XO
LOVE everything about this party! Where did you get the hand toothpicks that are in the donuts?
