Fries before guys and food before dudes – am I right or am I right?
Now don’t get me wrong, I’m all about healthy living. I love working out and eating clean because it makes me feel so great; but, I’m also a firm believer in TREATING YO-SELF.
Even though taking care of your body is so so important, it’s easy to become obsessed. And let’s be real – no one wants to hang out with the person who’s always making excuses as to why they can’t come out for Taco Tuesday’s, who won’t go out on Friday night because the drinks have too many calories, or – even worse – someone who goes to In-N-Out and only gets a water cup.
If you’re too stressed about the way you look to let yourself indulge in life’s sweet treats and guilty pleasures every once in a while – stop!! Your hard-working body is begging you! Reward your beautiful self for all your hard work by making cookies with your friends or raising your glass on Wine Wednesdays.
When you look good, you feel good, BUT, when you feel good, you look even better. If you don’t know what I mean, think about this: a model could walk down the beach in a bikini, but if they don’t feel good about themselves, that will show. On the other hand, if someone – no matter their size – struts down the street feeling as confident as ever, their beauty will radiate and others will notice and be attracted to that.
When you work hard, eat clean, and recognize how beautiful you really are, guilty pleasures will lose their guilt and treats will taste even sweeter. So get up, go on a run, do some booty-work, and treat yourself in your very favorite way.
